How to Get a Driving Licence in Jaisalmer

You can apply for a learner's licence online via the Parivahan portal, or you can submit the required forms and documents at the RTO. The minimum learner’s period is usually 30 days; after that, you take a practical driving test. 

If you pass the driving test, you will get your driving licence; if not, come back after a few months of learning. Licences can also be applied for or renewed online, including international driving permits.

So, the total amount does not go beyond ₹3,000 in normal cases. If there is a commercial licence application, then it may be higher. 

How to Pay Road Tax Online in Jaisalmer

To pay the road tax, follow the following steps:
 

  1. Visit the Parivahan or Vahan portal.
     
  2. Under the CORE SERVICES section, choose the Tax & Fee box. 
     
  3. On the left side, there is a box with the title: Choose Option TO Avail Services. Enter registration number, select Rajasthan state and choose RJ-15 Jaisalmer RTO.
     
  4. Enter vehicle details (type, fuel, engine capacity, age).
     
  5. The system automatically calculates the road tax.
     
  6. Make a payment through the online payment gateway.
     
  7. Download or print the receipt/challan for your records.
