PNB Credit Card Bill Payment Overview

To avoid late fees, please pay your PNB (Punjab National Bank) credit card bill on time. Failure in doing so will negatively impact your credit score. To make sure no such things happen, PNB offers online as well as offline methods to settle your credit card dues.

PNB Credit Card Bill Payment – Online Methods

Completing PNB credit card bill payment is much easier, smoother and accessible with online methods. You can choose any of the methods listed below:

  1. PNB Credit Card Bill Payment through Website

Whenever you make a PNB credit card bill payment through the website, make sure you have opened the official site only. Steps are:

  1. Go to the PNB CardNet / BillDesk payment page

  2. Enter your 16-digit PNB credit card number, email ID, mobile number and the amount you want to pay.

  3. Choose the bank account (debit / net banking / UPI) from which you’ll pay.

  4. You will receive an OTP on your registered mobile number. Enter it and authenticate the details you had entered.

  5. On success, you receive a confirmation saying the amount is credited to your credit card.

This gateway is officially supported by PNB’s credit card website. You can check by clicking on the hyperlink and further on the ‘Pay Now’ option. The same site (BillDesk) will open.

2. PNB Credit Card Bill Payment through Mobile App

Punjab National Bank provides its customers with the mobile banking solution with its PNB ONE app. It supports various digital payments, including PNB credit card bill payments. With features like biometric & face authentication (iOS) along with MPIN, the app is super safe and secure to use.

Here’s how you can pay for PNV credit card payments through the mobile app:

3. PNB Credit Card Bill Payment through Net Banking

Almost every bank provides net banking service to its customers, and so does PNB. Using Net banking, you can easily pay your credit card bills. Follow the steps given below:

  1. You can either visit the PNB Net Banking site directly or follow these steps:

    1. Visit the official PNB portal.

    2. On the yellow colour tab, place your cursor on the ‘Payment Options’  tab and choose ‘Internet and Mobile Banking’.

    3. In the main content, you can see a website link (www.netpnb.com) and click on it.

  2. Click on the ‘Retail Internet Banking’ option.

  3. Enter your ‘User ID ‘ and click on ‘Continue’.

  4. Once you have logged in to your account, go to the selection of credit card section.

  5. Click on the bill payment option, fill in the amount to be paid, and pick your PNB account for the payment.

  6. Review every detail you’ve entered and finalise the transaction to complete the payment right away.

Remember, if your PNB credit card isn’t connected to your bank account yet, make sure to link it first before you log in to your net banking account.

4. PNB Credit Card Bill Payment through UPI

‘Bhaiya UPI Kardoon?’

You can use UPI for making payments to more than just a common vendor. People are now used to paying their credit card bills through UPI, especially for cards on the RuPay network. The payment can be done in 2 ways:

  1. PNB’s mobile app supports “Scan & Pay through Credit Card VPA / QR”, which is a UPI-based mode.

  2. PNB’s “Online Payment” portal (for credit cards) mentions UPI as one of the payment modes.

To use UPI:

  1. Open your UPI app (or use the UPI feature in PNB ONE)

  2. Go to the “Credit Card / Card Payment” section

  3. Select PNB as the issuer and enter your 16-digit credit card number

  4. Enter the amount

  5. Authenticate via UPI PIN

  6. Confirm the payment

Before doing this, check that your PNB credit card is eligible for UPI payments (some cards or issuers may not allow it yet).

5. PNB Credit Card Bill Payment through NEFT / RTGS

PNB officially documents the NEFT mechanism for credit card payments in its user guide. You can click on the hyperlink to open the said document.

Here are the official instructions:

  • Log in to your bank’s internet banking and add your PNB credit card as a beneficiary using these details:

    • Name of destination bank: Punjab National Bank

    • IFSC Code: PUNB0112000

    • Branch: ECE House, New Delhi (PNB Cards Division)

    • Account Type: Current Account

    • Beneficiary account number: Your 16-digit credit card number

  • After adding the beneficiary (may require verification), initiate a transfer with the exact payment amount.

  • Ensure to use transaction code 52 (if required by your sending bank) for credit card payments.

Make sure you make the payment at least two business days before the due date. This act will prevent any additional charges. Also, PNB has a ‘Payment through NEFT’ option under the ‘Payment Options tab’ on their official page.

RTGS may be used for very large payments if your bank supports RTGS to PNB’s designated account (depending on amount thresholds and bank policies).

Tip: Monitor and manage card-on-file tokens: many merchants store a tokenised version of your card. Regularly review and remove unused tokens via your card issuer or banking app to reduce exposure to merchant breaches.

Tips for Hassle-Free PNB Credit Card Bill Payment

Making payments online can become a tedious task for beginners or even with experienced professionals. ‘Itna stress ni lene ka!’ Here are some tips that will help you make payments without any difficulties:

  • Set reminders/auto payments so you never miss the due date.

  • Double-check card number, IFSC, bank and beneficiary details (especially for NEFT). In the official PNB’s NEFT guide, it is mentioned that wrong IFSC leads to delays or cancellation.

  • Use official portals and apps (e.g. pnbcard. in, PNB ONE, net banking) to reduce the risk of fraud.

  • Initiate fund transfers early, especially for NEFT/RTGS. PNB’s guide suggests doing it at least two business days in advance.

  • Keep proof of transaction (screenshots, UTR / transaction ID) in case of disputes.

  • Maintain sufficient balance in the payment account to prevent failed transactions.

  • Verify UPI eligibility for your credit card before using UPI.

  • Use secure networks (not public WiFi) when transacting online.

  • Check your statements after payment to ensure dues have been updated.

Make sure you follow each tip, or else you will be in a mess, calling the customer service every day.

Conclusion

You don’t need to visit the branch to pay the credit card due. You can do the exact thing online. You can choose official channels like the website, PNB ONE app, net banking, UPI, NEFT, or RTGS. For a smoother experience, set auto-pay and keep every transaction proof.

FAQs

What are the exact late fees and interest charges for missed or partial payments?
You can find exact figures on your monthly statement or on the PNB credit card tariff sheet. Contact PNB customer care if you need confirmation. To avoid these charges, always pay at least the minimum due before the due date.

How is interest calculated on unpaid balances, and from which date is it charged?
PNB usually charges interest from the transaction date when the full amount is not paid. Check your credit card terms and conditions or tariff sheet for the daily rate and how the interest is compounded.

How long does each payment method take to reflect in the account, such as UPI, NEFT, net banking, or the PNB app?
UPI payments are usually instant. NEFT transactions may take a few hours based on clearing cycles. Net banking and PNB app payments generally reflect the same day. Always check with your bank if your due date is near.

How do I request a temporary or permanent credit limit increase?
Request a limit increase through the PNB card section in the banking app or by calling customer care. The bank may ask for income proof and run a credit check before approving.

What is a balance transfer, er and how can I move a balance to/from my PNB card?
A balance transfer moves outstanding debt from one card to another, often at a lower rate. Apply via the PNB card offers page or customer care, and check the transfer fee and tenor before proceeding.

How do I manage rewards points, and what are common redemption options?
View points and expiry in the PNB card portal or app. Redemptions commonly include statement credit, gift vouchers, travel bookings, or partner catalogue items. Check the rewards T&C for exact options and expiry rules.

Can I remove or stop recurring subscriptions charged to my card?
Contact the merchant to cancel the subscription and ask them to stop future charges. Also, remove the card token from the merchant via your card management or request the bank to block future charges from that merchant if needed.
