Call 1800 890 7070 for Jio Payments Bank support, toll-free, 9 AM to 9 PM, every day. Email we.care@jiopayments.bank.in if you’d rather have a written record. If nothing gets resolved, the complaint moves to the nodal officer and then to the RBI.
A UPI transfer fails halfway. A debit card stops working at the counter. KYC gets stuck for no clear reason. People usually start searching for a number only after something like this happens. The Jio Payments Bank was incorporated on 3 April 2018 and is currently wholly owned by Jio Financial Services. The customer care support is available through one toll-free number and one email ID, both of which have been verified from the bank’s contact page as of July 2026.
It’s 1800 890 7070. Free from any Indian mobile connection or landline, no exceptions.
The line runs 9 AM to 9 PM, every day, including Sundays and holidays, as stated in the bank’s complaint form document. One number covers the savings account, UPI, debit card, and the JioFinance app. There’s no need to hunt for a separate number depending on the product.
1800 890 7070 is the toll free number that you can use to call Jio Payments Bank customer support between 9 AM and 9 PM.
Send your query to we.care@jiopayments.bank.in from the email address registered with your account.
Use your name, registered mobile number, and account number to start with. In case there is any problem with an unauthorized transaction, include the ID of that transaction, date, amount, and whether it is done through NEFT, RTGS, IMPS, or UPI. Keep a copy of what you sent. The answer will come in about 10 working days.
This route suits people who don't want to wait on a call, or who need proof of what was reported and when.
Phone and email settle most complaints, but two more channels sit on the bank’s official site.
For the complaint form, download it from the website, fill in your account number and details of the grievance, sign it, and send it either to the nodal officer's email or the postal address listed on the form.
There are three levels, and each one only comes into play once the previous step hasn't worked.
Level 1 means calling 1800 890 7070 or writing to we.care@jiopayments.bank.in, with a resolution promised within 10 working days.
*T&C Apply
If that doesn't fix things, Level 2 is where you write to the Nodal Officer, Mr. David Macklow, at nodal.officer@jiopayments.bank.in, or send a letter to Dhirubhai Ambani Knowledge City, Building 25, 1st Floor, A Wing, Kopar Khairane, Navi Mumbai, Maharashtra 400709. He's expected to respond within another 10 working days.
Level 3 kicks in only if 30 working days have passed since the original complaint with no resolution. At that point, the Complaint Management System (CMS) portal run by the RBI is the next stop, or you can go directly to the RBI Banking Ombudsman.
Jio Payments Bank received in-principle approval from the RBI on 19 August 2015. It was issued its full licence under Section 22(1) of the Banking Regulation Act, 1949, when it began operations on 3 April 2018.
Jio Financial Services holds full ownership of Jio Payments Bank Limited today.
It didn’t start that way. The bank began as a partnership split 82.2:17.8 between Reliance Industries and the State Bank of India. That changed in June 2025, when Jio Financial Services bought out SBI’s remaining stake for a little over ₹104.54 crore, a deal reported by Business Standard. Its CIN, printed on the footer of the official website, reads U65999MH2016PLC287584.
1800 890 7070 is really the number worth saving, since it's toll-free and open every single day from 9 AM to 9 PM. Email works better when the issue needs a paper trail, and a reply from we.care@jiopayments.bank.in typically lands within 10 working days. Most account, card, and UPI complaints get sorted right there at the first level, without anyone needing to escalate further.
But if 10 working days pass with no fix, the next move is writing to the Nodal Officer, Mr. David Macklow, and giving his office another 10 working days to respond. But for taking the grievance further to the RBI, there needs to be a period of 30 days elapsed since the filing of the complaint with the bank.
