The UPI payment is a popular method of cash payment in digital banking transactions. The instant way of cash transfer is safe and secure. This method is helpful when either the buyer or seller is unable to tender the exact balance amount.
The UPI PIN is a secret code of four or six-digit numbers, which the user has to set for his or her bank account, and should link the same to his or her mobile application. The abbreviation of PIN is Personal Identification Number. This PIN is required to authorise all kinds of bank transactions DONE through the UPI payment method.
Disclaimer: Usually, the mobile application opening PIN is a 4-digit number, whereas the cash transaction PIN is a 6-digit number.

Step 1: Initiate the mobile bank app.
Step 2: Go to the Profile section of the mobile application, which is usually in the top-right-hand side corner.
Step 3: Select the bank account that is linked to the UPI.
Step 4: Navigate to the options Forgot UPI PIN” or “Reset UPI PIN.”
Step 5: After selecting “Reset UPI PIN”, another page will be opened. Here, you need to enter the debit card number of your ATM card.
Note: Some applications will ask only the last six digits of the ATM card, while other applications may require all sixteen digits of the ATM card.
Step 6: After entering the digit number of the ATM card, the application may ask one of the following options:

Step 8: Create a new six-digit PIN, and confirm it. The application may ask you to re-enter the PIN for confirmation.
Step 9: After resetting the PIN, click “Submit.”
Step 10: The bank server will verify your authentication by sending a One-Time Password to your registered mobile number.
Step 11: Validate the OTP and confirm your request.
Step 12: After completion of the above-mentioned procedures, click “Done.”
Disclaimer: All the procedures are the same in resetting the PIN of a mobile App. However, there can be slight changes in the selection of options.
This step is used when a user forgets his or her UPI on the mobile application.
Step 1: Initiate the mobile bank app.

Step 3: Select the bank account that is linked to the UPI.
Step 4: Navigate to the options “Forgot UPI PIN.”
Step 5: The application requires you to enter the ATM card details.
Step 6: After furnishing these details, a One-Time Password (OTP) will be sent to the registered mobile number.
Step 7: On the next interface, create a new UPI PIN. The application may demand that you re-enter to confirm the newly created PIN.
Step 8: Click “Submit” after completing the above-mentioned procedures.
