Samsung has made its Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra, Galaxy Z Fold8 and Galaxy Z Flip8 easier to buy in India through a 30-month no-cost EMI plan. The Galaxy Z Flip8 starts at ₹4,167 per month, the Galaxy Z Fold8 starts at ₹6,000 per month and the Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra starts at ₹6,667 per month. Samsung India had listed 0% down payment and up to 30-month no-cost EMI in its official pre-order offer dated 22 July 2026.
Potential customers should confirm prices as Samsung’s latest foldables offer a more affordable option with the introduction of a 30 month zero cost EMI plan.
The short-term effect is simple. A buyer who cannot pay above ₹1 lakh at once may still consider a new foldable through monthly payments. The longer effect could be seen in smaller cities, where Samsung has already claimed strong demand. The risk is also visible. A low EMI can push some buyers into a long repayment cycle before they check processing fees, tax, card rules and the final bill.

Samsung’s offer applies to Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra, Galaxy Z Fold8 and Galaxy Z Flip8 buyers in India. The company’s official launch page said customers could pre-order the devices with an upgrade offer, bank or UPI cashback, or up to 30-month no-cost EMI with 0% down payment. The offer uses select NBFC partners, including Samsung Finance+, TVS Credit, IDFC First Bank and PFL.
That changes the way the phone is sold at retail counters. Instead of asking a customer to focus only on the full price, Samsung is placing the monthly EMI in front. The Galaxy Z Flip8 at ₹4,167 per month will get the widest attention because it is the lowest EMI figure in the new foldable range.
Before looking at impact, the main figures need to be seen together. The offer is not only about Samsung. It is also connected to India’s phone usage, UPI habits and the way buyers now compare digital finance offers.
After these numbers, the offer looks sharper. Samsung is not only chasing metro buyers who already buy premium phones at launch. The company is also trying to reach buyers who judge a phone by monthly cost, exchange value and cashback.
The EMI offer could enable Indians to purchase a previously inaccessible category of devices. While people could appreciate foldable phones in the past, they were inaccessible due to high market prices. Today, a foldable phone would be more affordable than a mid-range alternative because of the 30-month payment plan, and this offer is more applicable to the working population, content creators, business owners, and families buying one phone for long-term use.
Significant transitions are more frequent in smaller populations. Samsung stated in its report from July 29, 2022, that 45% of pre-orders were placed in tier-2 cities and beyond. The report definitely seems legitimate. The demand for high-end phones has spread to smaller cities in India beyond Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, and Chennai. Because of Samsung's and Apple's stores in these cities, the folks in tier-2 (and even tier-3) cities are inclined to go to a store to check out foldable phones vs. high-end flagship phones.
Experts usually advise buyers to read the full payment terms before choosing any EMI-backed purchase. LoansJagat’s no-cost EMI explainer says the buyer may still face GST, processing fees or pre-closure charges in some cases. That is the part many customers miss when they look only at the monthly EMI printed on the product page.
The safer route is basic but useful. Buyers should compare the total invoice value, bank cashback, UPI cashback, exchange price, GST, processing fee, repayment date and foreclosure rule. If the final payable amount stays close to the phone price and the monthly debit fits the household budget, the offer can work. If the buyer needs to delay other bills for it, waiting is a better call.
Samsung unveiled the Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra, Galaxy Z Fold8 and Galaxy Z Flip8 in India on 22 July 2026. The launch release priced the Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra at ₹1,99,999, the Galaxy Z Fold8 at ₹1,79,999, and the Galaxy Z Flip8 at ₹1,24,999. The company added pre-order offers including upgrade offers, and cash back offers on bank or UPI transactions with no-cost EMI options.
The next big update was on 29 July 2026. Samsung revealed that the new generation of foldables crossed the 2.71 lakh pre-order mark in just 72 hours. The company also noted that last year’s Galaxy Z Fold7 and Galaxy Z Flip7 had taken 15 days to reach similar pre-order numbers. This made them the best selling foldable of their time, allowing the company to make their offerings more affordable.

Samsung Southwest Asia President and CEO JB Park said the response to the new Galaxy Z series showed India’s demand for new technology and personalised Galaxy AI experiences. He also said the latest foldables are made in India and backed by Samsung’s Indian R&D work, as stated in Samsung’s 29 July 2026 update.
Public data points to the same retail direction from another side. MoSPI’s NSS Report No. 593, released on 29 May 2025, recorded 85.5% household smartphone ownership in India. The Ministry of Finance, through PIB on 20 July 2026, said 55.49 crore users had been onboarded on UPI as of June 2026. These 2 facts give Samsung a wider pool of buyers who already use phones and digital payments in daily life.
Samsung’s 30-month no-cost EMI plan gives the Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra, Galaxy Z Fold8 and Galaxy Z Flip8 a stronger sales push in India. The offer makes the monthly cost look easier, mainly for buyers who were interested in foldables but stepped back because of the upfront price.
The demand story is already strong. Samsung has reported 2.71 lakh pre-orders within 72 hours, with a large share coming from tier-2 cities and beyond. That gives the company a wider premium audience. Buyers should still slow down before checkout. A foldable phone may arrive through EMI, but the repayment has to fit the month after every charge is counted.
Samsung has listed 0% down payment, but buyers should still check lender fees and tax.
It can work for buyers who need a foldable and can handle ₹4,167 monthly payments.
Fold8 Ultra suits heavy users. Fold8 may suit buyers wanting a lower starting price.
Yes, if the buyer meets Samsung’s offer terms and the eligible payment method applies.
Check total payable amount, processing fee, GST, cashback rules and the monthly debit date.
