Rajasthan’s CM Youth Self-Employment Scheme has logged 21,500+ applications in 1 month, pushing the government to scale beneficiary targets and accelerate bank processing.

Rajasthan’s Chief Minister’s Youth Self-Employment Scheme, launched on January 22, 2026, has received 21,500+ loan applications within 1 month, according to a Times of India report dated February 24, 2026.

The scheme offers interest-free loans up to ₹10 lakh and margin money support up to ₹50,000, aimed at helping young applicants start micro-enterprises in manufacturing, services and trade.

The applications are being processed by the state industries department, with verification and routing to banks currently underway. The sharp volume has also influenced the state’s latest budget planning for the scheme.

Targets Raised As Applications Cross Annual Plan

Targets Raised As Applications Cross Annual Plan

The application count has already crossed the government’s earlier plan of 10,000 beneficiaries for the current financial year. The 2026–27 Rajasthan Budget subsequently expanded the scheme’s scope to 30,000 beneficiaries, signalling a larger rollout track.

A separate update also indicates bigger long-term intent: the government aims to support 1,00,000 youth over 3 years under the programme design, as reported by on February 5, 2026.

In execution, officials have indicated that around 1,500 applications have already been forwarded to banks, moving the scheme beyond registrations into sanction processing.

Here is a scorecard of application volume, targets, and banking movement as reported across sources:

The immediate headline is the application rush, but the next hard indicator is bank sanctions, which decides how quickly funds reach first-time entrepreneurs.

Budget Push, District Trends, Application Route

The scheme gained sharper visibility after Rajasthan’s budget announcements. Multiple reports around February 11–12, 2026 flagged that the state would provide 100% interest subsidy and margin money grants on loans up to ₹10 lakh, with ₹1,000 crore+ allocation mentioned for the initiative and 30,000 beneficiaries expected in the initial phase.

On-ground patterns are also emerging. Jaipur, Churu and Bikaner were cited as the top districts by applications in the Times of India report dated February 24, 2026, while 19 other districts also saw strong participation. The application process is online, routed via Rajasthan SSO and e-Mitra, with documents such as Aadhaar, domicile and education certificates required for scrutiny.

Loan limits differ by qualification and sector. This is central to who qualifies for what and where the demand is likely to come from.

Eligibility Band (As Reported)

Loan Cap And Margin Support

Class 8 to Class 12 pass

Up to ₹3.5 lakh (services and trade), up to ₹7.5 lakh (manufacturing), margin money up to ₹35,000

Graduates, ITI, diploma, higher qualified

Up to ₹5 lakh (services and trade), up to ₹10 lakh (manufacturing), margin money up to ₹50,000

With manufacturing loans capped higher, districts with small-unit activity may see higher ticket proposals, while services and trade could drive bulk applications.

During the budget pitch, Finance Minister Diya Kumari was quoted saying the CM self-employment scheme will provide interest-free loans up to ₹10 lakh and benefit 30,000 youth.

Conclusion

The scheme’s early traction is clear in 21,500+ applications and the budget-backed jump to 30,000 beneficiaries. The immediate focus now is on bank sanctions and faster disbursals for approved applicants.
