Internet and mobile banking enable customers to manage their finances from home—transfer funds, pay bills, and open accounts. The State Bank of India (SBI) is a leader in this space, with 1.15 crore registered mobile banking users, accounting for around 50% of all mobile banking transactions in India.
SBI mobile banking services are available to everyone, be it anyone using the multiple-choice model of mobile devices. The figures for the Reserve Bank of India estimate that around 4.5% of total retail customers in SBI make use of mobile banking. This is proved by the immense pace at which online banking has been adopted by a number of people.
